WILD FS H20

Experience the rugged trails of Nazaré and the Silver Coast with the powerful Orbea Wild FS H20, a full-suspension e-mountain bike designed for adventure seekers. With its robust Bosch motor, generous travel, and high-quality components, this bike conquers challenging terrain with ease while providing all-day comfort for epic explorations.

Why Ride the Wild FS H20 in Nazaré?

The Orbea Wild FS H20 is the most capable bike we offer at IronDeer — and Nazaré has the terrain to justify it. The Bosch Performance CX motor is one of the most powerful systems available on a rental e-MTB, delivering 85 Nm of torque across four assist modes. On the steep, loose trails behind Nazaré and along the canyon rim above Praia do Norte, that power is immediately felt. Climbs that would stop most riders feel controlled and manageable. You arrive at the top with energy left to enjoy the descent.

The full-suspension design — 160 mm front and rear — is what separates the Wild FS H20 from the other bikes in our fleet. The RockShox 35 Silver fork and Fox Float DPS rear shock absorb the rough, rocky stretches that appear on the longer trail loops between Nazaré and the Serra de Aire foothills. On a hardtail, those sections demand constant attention. On the Wild FS H20, you can carry speed through them with confidence and let the suspension work.

The Maxxis Minion tyres at 2.60" width give you a contact patch built for loose, unpredictable terrain. On the sandy, gravelly trails above the cliffs north of Nazaré — where the ground can shift under your wheels — that traction makes a real difference. The SRAM DB8 hydraulic brakes give you progressive, reliable stopping power even on extended descents with a loaded bike and a heavy motor system.

The 625 Wh PowerTube battery is fully integrated into the down tube, keeping weight low and the bike balanced even at 25 kg. On a full day of enduro-style riding — climbing with Bosch assist, descending fast, stopping for lunch, doing it again — the battery has the capacity to last without needing a mid-day top-up.

Who is the Wild FS H20 For?

The Wild FS H20 is for riders who already know what they want. If you have trail or enduro experience and you are in Nazaré specifically to ride — not just to explore — this is the right bike.

The experienced trail rider. You are comfortable on technical terrain, you know how to use suspension, and you want a bike that does not limit what you can attempt. The Wild FS H20 handles everything the trails around Nazaré have to offer: steep switchbacks on the climb to Sítio, rooted and rocky sections in the Pinhal de Leiria, and the fast, exposed descents along the canyon rim. This bike does not ask you to slow down.

The enduro enthusiast. You are drawn to the longest, roughest loops available from Nazaré — full-day routes covering 50–80 km with significant elevation. The 625 Wh battery supports that ambition, and the 160 mm of travel means the descents are something to look forward to rather than survive. You are the rider who plans the route the night before and checks the weather forecast.

The rider who wants Bosch. The Bosch Performance CX has a different character to the Shimano EP8 RS — stronger initial engagement, a more powerful feel at low cadence, and a motor behaviour that many riders describe as more intuitive on technical climbs. If you have ridden Bosch systems before and prefer that feel, the Wild FS H20 is the one for you.

The heavier or stronger rider. At 85 Nm and with 160 mm of rear travel, the Wild FS H20 is the most forgiving bike in our fleet for larger riders or those carrying camera equipment. The Fox Float DPS shock handles the extra load without sacrificing performance.

Frequently Asked Questions — Orbea Wild FS H20 in Nazaré

Both are high-quality e-MTB motor systems, but they have different characters. The Bosch Performance CX delivers 85 Nm with a strong, direct power feel — particularly on steep technical climbs at low cadence. The Shimano EP8 RS (used on our Rise H15 and URRUN 30) produces 60 Nm with a more natural, cadence-responsive feel that some riders describe as closer to unassisted pedalling. Neither is objectively better — it depends on your riding style and what you are used to. If you have used Bosch before and prefer it, the Wild FS H20 is your bike.

Travel refers to how far the suspension can compress — 160 mm front and rear is enduro-level suspension, designed for rough, technical, and fast terrain. On the trails around Nazaré, it means rocks, roots, and loose gravel sections are absorbed by the bike rather than transmitted through your hands and body. You can carry more speed through rough sections, descend with more confidence, and ride longer without fatigue. For smooth coastal roads or light gravel paths, the suspension simply works less — it does not get in the way.

The 625 Wh Bosch PowerTube gives a real-world range of approximately 50–80 km depending on terrain, assist mode, and rider weight. On a hilly enduro-style loop with frequent Boost use, expect the lower end of that range. On a mixed route in Tour or eMTB mode, you will comfortably reach 70–80 km. For full-day multi-day rentals, the charger is included so you can top up overnight.

The Wild FS H20 shines on the longer, more technical loops available from Nazaré. The canyon rim trail above Praia do Norte, the forest tracks in the Pinhal de Leiria, and the gravel route connecting Nazaré to Alcobaça all suit the bike's enduro character. For a full-day challenge, the ridge route toward the Serra de Aire foothills uses the full capability of the suspension and motor. When you pick up the bike, our team will map out a route based on your fitness level and how much technical terrain you want.

The Wild FS H20 weighs approximately 25 kg — heavier than the Shimano-powered bikes in our fleet, mainly due to the Bosch motor system and the full-suspension frame. On trails, this weight is largely irrelevant — the motor compensates for it on climbs, and the suspension absorbs it on descents. Where you notice it is if you need to lift the bike — onto a car rack, over a gate, or up steps. If you plan a route that involves carrying the bike, let us know and we will advise accordingly.

Absolutely — the Wild FS H20 is well-suited to multi-day adventures. The Bosch Smart System display tracks battery level, range, and trip data so you can manage your power over long days. The integrated battery charges from empty to full in approximately five hours with the included Bosch charger. A common multi-day route from Nazaré covers the Silver Coast between São Martinho do Porto in the south and São Pedro de Moel in the north — a mix of trail, gravel, and coastal road that suits the Wild FS H20's range of capabilities well.
